Erika Razo

By Megan Valentine

Erika Razo joined KSEE 24 News in September of 2006.

In 2001 Erika interned at KFSN ABC-30 while she was attending Fresno State University. After just a few months, she landed a job in master control. It was there Erika realized how much she enjoyed the world of broadcast television.

Erika went on to earn her bachelor’s of arts in journalism from Eastern Illinois University. While in school, she worked as an anchor and reporter at WEIU, a PBS station located on the campus of E.I.U. in Charleston, Illinois.

After cutting her teeth as a journalist at WEIU, Erika packed her bags and headed back to her home state of California. She returned home as the “Great Day” North Valley reporter for KMPH.

Erika then moved down the street to KSEE 24 News; first as an entertainment reporter for “Hot Ticket.” Now, in addition to Erika’s entertainment reporting, she also handles hard news.

“Being back in the Central Valley is great. You really don’t appreciate home until you leave and spend every holiday traveling back and forth,” Erika says of her enthusiasm to be able to work in the place she grew up.

In her spare time Erika enjoys outdoor sports and spending time with her husband, family and friends.
