Jon relates: “The Valley is growing and our community is a rich environment for telling stories about people and issues that concern us on a daily basis. I love people and I feel extremely privileged to aid our viewers to be more accurately informed. It’s truly fascinating and fulfilling for me. “

Jon spends a lot of his time covering valley Education, but he’s covered several major stories that impact the Valley. Stories such as the history-making California recall election. On the Court Beat, Jon has covered the Scott Peterson case in Redwood City and Fresno’s Marcus Wesson mass murder trial. Additionally, Jon has covered the historical southern California fires of 2003 and the Mariposa fires during the summer of 2004. Jon’s reported on the impact the “War on Terror” has had on the Valley and new discoveries of cancer bio-markers that could one day save lives. Jon says: “When news breaks I’m there, but in-depth reporting in Fresno, Merced, Visalia, Tulare and all communities in between is important too. I look forward to finding ways to be an advocate for our viewers.”

In his time away from work, you’ll find Jon on horseback, on golf carts or on Bass Lake!
