Ralph Gaston is a sports fan at heart. A former collegiate football and baseball player, he got his start in journalism as a sportswriter for the Montgomery County Sentinel in Rockville, MD. After attending the School of Journalism at Cal-Berkeley, he switched from print to broadcast, landing a job at WBOY in Clarksburg, West Virginia as a sports anchor/reporter.

For the next three seasons Ralph ate, drank, and breathed West Virginia Mountaineers football and basketball. He ended his term as the sports director. He then followed his gut, and his heart, to Fresno.
