By Megan Valentine

A.J. Fox has been a broadcaster in Fresno since the late 1980's. He started his career in radio at KFIG and eventually became the host of one of the Valley's top rated morning radio programs. A.J. branched out into television when KSEE 24 News offered him a position as traffic reporter in 1995.

In January 1996 he began filling in for the main weather anchors and in September of that year became the station's first weekend weather forecaster. Two years later he was promoted to the weather forecaster on KSEE Sunrise, and KSEE 24 News at Noon.

A.J. was instrumental in the preparation and launching of the KSEE Weather Lab. He has completed the Meteorology Program from the U.S. Department of Agriculture, achieved the American Meteorological Society Seal of Approval, and is the Valley's first AMS Certified Broadcast Meteorologist.

A.J. has a bachelor's degree in music education, a master's in mass communications and journalism from Fresno State University. He teaches a weather class at Fresno City College.

A.J. and his wife, Theresa, have three children. He plays classical and electric guitar, and in early 2005 his band, Los Hooligans, came out with a new CD titled "Mafioso Ska."
