
KSEE 24, Central Valley's News Station and the Companies You Count On are proud to support non-profit organizations in their fundraising efforts. Through out the year we sponsor and participate in a variety of community-oriented events.
January:
American Red Cross: Save-A-Family Campaign
KSEE 24 supports the American Red Cross with their Save-A-Family Campaign. Donations from the campaign help ensure that resources are available to support local relief efforts. Last year the Fresno Madera Chapter helped more than 181 displaced families who lost their home due to fire or flood. The American Red Cross provided food, clothing and shelter as well as other life supporting services to those victims.
February:
The Creative Center: Mardi Gras Celebration
Celebrate Mardi Gras on February 2, 2008 with KSEE 24 and the Creative Center.The event takes place in Visalia and includes a Kids Karnevale, Street Dance and Grand Ball. Enjoy the celebration and make a difference in the lives of disabled adults. Funds from the event support the Creative Center program that integrates life skills training, performing and visual arts.
March:
Tree Fresno: "Healthy Living Fair"
"Healthy Living Fair" takes place on March 9, 2008 at the Tower District. The event includes: Run Through the Trees, the Central Valley Classic International Bike Race and a Health Fair. Funds from the event will benefit the Central California Blood Center, Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, and Tree Fresno. The event is free to the public with activities for the entire family.
American Red Cross: Heroes Breakfast
KSEE 24 and the American Red Cross invite you to the Real Heroes Breakfast on April 2, 2008 at the Fresno Convention and Entertainment Center. The event honors good Samaritans for their courageous acts, throughout the Fresno and Madera community.

March of Dimes: March for Babies
Join the walk to help save babies. KSEE 24 and March of Dimes invite you to March for Babies 2008. This year's events will be held in Fresno at Woodward Park, on April 19, 2008, in Visalia at Mooney Grove Park, on May 10,2008, and in Merced at Applegate Park on May 3, 2008.March for Baibies helps fund research and educational community programs to educate the public on premature birth.
June:
William Shakespeare Festival Enjoy live outdoor theatre at the 2008 Shakespeare Festival featuring a staged production of "Twelfth Night" June 26 through July 26 and "Hamlet" August 13 through September 14 in Woodward Park. The
Woodward Shakespeare Festival promotes live theatre productions for the cultural education, entertainment and inspiration of our community. All performances are free of charge.

North Fresno Rotary: Storyland & Jazz
Families and school children alike have enjoyed Storyland's stories and rides for many decades. Help keep the magic and fantasies of Storyland alive by joining KSEE 24 and the North Fresno Rotary at Storyland and Jazz Event. Proceeds from the event help the Storyland/Playland renovation project.

Boys & Girls Club: Stepping Out for Kids
Join KSEE 24 and the Fresno's Boys & Girls Club on September 13, 2008 for the Stepping Out for Kids dinner and auction fundraiser. Enjoy a night of entertainment and help your local Boys & Girls Club deliver exciting and educational programs to Valley youth. The clubs provide a safe and positive place for kids to grow, learn and play.
October:
Leukemia & Lymphoma: Light the Night
Attend "Light the Night" and help save lives with KSEE 24 and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Friends, families and co-workers walk in memory of cancer patients and commemorate lives touched by cancer. The evening includes music, food and family activities. The walk is held at California State University, Fresno. The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society is one of the world's largest volunteer health organizations dedicated to funding cancer research, education and patient services.
Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation: Race for the Cure
Race to find a cure for breast cancer. Race for the Cure will be held on October 25, 2008 at California State University, Fresno. The event includes a race, food booths, entertainment and special recognition of breast cancer survivors. Susan G. Komen gives opportunities for the Fresno community to help raise funds for breast cancer research, local education, screening and treatment.

Coats for Kids
Make a child's holiday warmer with Coats for Kids. KSEE 24, the Companies You Count On and KISS Country 93.7 FM will hold Coats for Kids, an annual coat drive for valley children, which has helped collect and distribute over 126,000 coats since 1989. Last year our efforts collected 9,360 coats for Central Valley children.
Portraits of Success:
In February, May, and September, KSEE 24 and the Companies You Count On will hold the Portraits of Success luncheon, recognizing outstanding leaders in the African-American, Hispanic and Asian Pacific Islander American communities throughout the Central Valley.
