It's another day in Mrs. Mary Allen's classroom at Granite Ridge Intermediate. The kids have their laptops open and they're ready to learn.

Mrs. Allen has been teaching for more than 10 years now.
She says middle school is exactly where she belongs.

Her students appreciate her can do attitude and...Say she's more like a second mom to them.

Mrs. Allen has a reputation for going above and beyond...Volunteering her time to tutor students and for special projects. But she says its all worth it...Especially when she sees the difference she's making.

Congratulations to Mary Allen, our KSEE24 Educator of the Week.
