It's Tuesday morning at Dry Creek Elementary, and Brett Dose's fifth grade class is well into their day.

Keeping things fresh and fun can be a challenge, but Mr. Dose has a technique he says works pretty well.

"If they're in an environment where they're happy...More apt to learn."

"Its really fun for him to joke around with us...Makes us feel safe in his classroom."

For the past six years Mr. Dose has been teaching fifth grade. He says it's a great age and excellent time to mold young minds. His students say he does an excellent job of keeping them focused.

"When we're really...Fun and discipline at the same time."

"He's just so nice to everybody fun and loving to everybody."

Mr. Dose says his classroom isn't an exception at Dry Creek.

"Its just a great environment to work in ...Has each others back."

"I'm humbled by this...Go on to do great things."

Congratulations to Brett Dose, KSEE24's Educator of the Week.
