It may look like all fun and games in this kindergarten classroom at Hamilton Elementary, but teacher Linda Hickey takes her job very seriously.
"It is their foundation...Positive rest of their life...School years."
For more than two decades now, Mrs. Hickey has been preparing young minds for what's to come. Her passion runs deep.
"I knew I wanted to be a kindergarten teacher...This is my dream job."
A dream that inspires a love of learning for her students. She has a special message for them every morning.
"Its gonna be a special day."
"She's always nice to kids...She says good morning with a smile on her face."
Its hard not to find Mrs. Hickey with a smile on her face. It's what happens when you love what you do.
"Its a lot of work...So worth every moment of it."
