By Jon Brent

About 11 weeks till Election day...And you'd expect candidate endorsements to continue to be announced.
But when 31st District Assemblyman Juan Arambula, a Latin Democrat came out for the Republican Mayoral candidate Ashley Swearengin, a lot of people are scratching their head.
That includes long time Arambula supporter....and Swearengin opponent...Henry T Perea! Jon Brent reports...

Why are people scratching their heads? She's the better candidate, hands down. What makes me scratch my head is why the Chamber didn't endorse her, when she is CLEARLY the more pro-business candidate of the two.

It looks like Ashley has broad and strong support. I think she is going to be the next mayor will all of this new support. Arambula is well respected in the community and carries a lot of weight with many people...especially Latinos.

Perea is way way out in left field by calling Arambula an "ineffective state politician.” Perea and his father together couldn’t hold a candle to Arambula’s personal accomplishments, political capital or local support. Jr. is overshadowed by Swearengin’s experience and support. And this latest response really exposed his immaturity and lack of polish. What were you thinking Jr.?
