Student Government Controversy at Fresno State

By KSEE News

A controversy at Fresno State has students concerned after accusations that student government leaders misused student fees.

The president and vice-president of the Associated Student Inc.Government have been put on probation after it was discovered they used their university credit cards to purchase alcohol while on a leadership retreat in Anaheim. Many students are upset that the student government leaders spent thousands of dollars on the trip using funds that are gathered through student fees.

if they did do that with the funds that is not even cool. all those students haveing to pay extra for alcohol...if it is true maybe they should just give the students next semester a free-bee...

From all that has appeared in the press, the news, school documents and from first hand knowledge - this isn't an isolated incident. There were multiple receipts that were supposed to be investigated. Mason and Sandra lied about all of this at first to Dr.Coon and now they are still only telling half truths. I recognize Alexandra Andreotti in the video. Her dad is a cop. What does he think about Mason and Flores buying alcohol for underage students?

Another example of Dr. Welty's administration lack of moral leadership and teaching.
