Fresno State students rally for presidential candidates

Passionate arguments erupted between Fresno State students at a political rally Monday.

College Democrats and students for Obama organized a "United for Change" rally in the free speech area.

The Fresno County College Republicans showed up at the rally holding signs in protest of Obama and Proposition 8, which if passed would ban gay marriage in California.

Those on both sides say this was a last opportunity for them to show their support for the candidates and issues, and most importantly motivate young people to vote.

Speakers at the rally included Fresno Mayoral candidate Henry T. Perea and Valley Congressman Jim Costa.

What if we should not be debating equality or traditional marriage per se, but a deeper question; should we be governed by the whimsical morality of the majority, regardless of the issue? Read the whole article at www.caivp.org
