We all know the seriousness of childhood obesity. Reports show it has more than doubled since the 1970's.

In Fresno County alone 43% of children are considered overweight or obese, according to the California Center for Public Health Advocacy.

Not only is this epidemic affecting children, but parents, who must deal with the frustrations that come along with it.

Here to share their weight loss struggles are mother and daughter Heidi and Breanna Bond, of Clovis. 10-year-old Breanna weighed nearly 200 pounds a year ago, but has since lost 72 pounds and mom is on a mission to get the rest of us in shape.

We're also joined by Christy Patron with the Network For a Healthy California to tell us about their work in battling obesity.
