You might find this hard to believe But the city of Farmersville only has two paid fire captains. All other personnel are volunteer firefighters. So this year is a critical time to raise funds, because the department is in desperate need of a fire engine and funds to upgrade its current engine.

Here to give us details on their annual fundraiser is Farmersville's chief of police Mario Krstic. we're also joined by the president of the Farmersville volunteer fire company Jason Maze and fire captain john self.

The Volunteer Fire Company is made up of 25 Volunteers from all walks of life, some living in Farmersville and others from surrounding areas. The City of Farmersville has two paid Fire Captains, everyone else are volunteer fire fighters. The fire division of the City and volunteers are supervised by the Chief of Police.
