A local business is giving you a golden opportunity to help south valley children succeed in school. The Fresno Coin Gallery is teaming-up with the Tulare county office of education to donate money to schools. And the best part is you don't have to pay a dime!
Joining us with details is Stephanie Foster-Thomas with the Fresno Coin Gallery. We're also joined by Doctor Michele Cantwell-Copher with the Fresno county office of education foundations.
During the entire month of March, Fresno Coin Gallery will continue to pay customers the TOP prices for their gold jewelry, plus Fresno Coin Gallery will donate an extra 10% on top of that to Fresno and Tulare County Schools. No money comes from the customer at all. The customer bringing their business to the Fresno Coin Gallery family of businesses enables us to make the donation. We like to say it is an opportunity for the individual to do something great for themselves and help out schoolchildren at the same time.
The partnership began with discussion between Stephen J. Foster and Superintendent Larry Powell. Fresno Coin was enjoying great success with the business and decided it was important to give back to the community and get involved. Stephen explored options, and the timing was right to choose schools. Budget cuts were threatening teacher's jobs…so Stephen approached Mr. Powell with an idea and it was a great collaboration. We are excited to expand this partnership to include the Tulare County Office of Education with our new location, Visalia Jewelry & Loan, in 2013.
