Now that the Christmas tree and decorations have been brought down, you might want to look around your house and see what else deserves some cleaning. We tend to neglect a lot of our household chores but now that's it's a New Year, you can have a new start. Jacqueline Cromwell tells us where to begin and tips on cleaning.

-Coffee Pot - Run 2 cups of vinegar through your coffee pot just like water to clean away the mineral deposits and gunk. Then run 2 batches of plain water through it to get rid of the vinegar smell and taste!

-Change smoke detector batteries - Buy a pack of batteries, grab the ladder & change them all in one swoop.

-Clean the Oven - use a cleaner & let sit overnight then wipe down.

-Clean your Windows - Take a bucket of warm water & add 1/2 cup of vinegar per gallon & a squirt of lemon juice. Wipe with a paper towel.
