Joaquin Murrieta, California’s Robin Hood

At the height of his notoriety in 1853, during the gold rush era Joaquin Murrieta was considered the most dangerous outlaw and cowboy in California. He commanded 500 riders and was only 21 years old.

Well now a local historian has taken the story of Murrieta and written a historical novel dramatized as though he was actually there.

He claims the events and dates are real in his book entitled "I Am Joaquin, a historical novel."
