The Fresno Philharmonic has a real treat for you at the end of the month. A violinist who began playing at the age of five will bring her talents to the William Saroyan theatre. Stephen Wilson the executive director of the Fresno Philharmonic tells us a little bit about the background, the violinist, and upcoming concert dates.

 

The Fresno Philharmonic is currently in the midst of its 59th season. 

As the largest professional orchestra between San Francisco and Los Angeles, the Philharmonic's mission is to provide high-quality orchestral music and music education programs to audiences and school children throughout the Central Valley. This season the Philharmonic is presenting 5 Masterworks performances, 3 Pops performances and an education concert provided free of charge to over 6,000 Valley students. The organization has a full-time administrative staff of three supplemented by three part-time employees and numerous volunteers. 

Executive Director, Stephen Wilson joined the staff in July, 2012 follow 12 years as the Executive Director of the Binghamton Philharmonic in Binghamton, New York.
