We all now how family reunions can go: brothers, sisters, cousins, it can get pretty stressful and competitive. The basis of the next production at second space theatre deals with just that, but in a hilarious manner. The Red Velvet Cake War, three cousins could not have picked a worse time to throw their family reunion. On a hot day in Texas middle of Tornado Season, they make a high-stakes wager on who can bake the best red velvet cake. Joyce Fitzgerald plays Cee Cee, Mama Doll Hargis, and Jacquie Broach who plays a lead in the musical.

 

In this riotously funny Southern-fried comedy, the three Verdeen cousins could not have picked a worse time to throw their family reunion. Hilarity ensues when the widely eccentric Verdeens gather on the hottest day of July, smack dab in the middle of Texas tornado season and a high stakes wager is made on who bakes the best red velvet cake!
