Each year half of Americans make a New Year's resolution but only eight-percent succeed. As you know, the most popular resolution is to lose weight. Teri Knowles from Weight Watchers show us how to make healthy habits. She said there are simple routines that can turn into lifelong habits that can help us stick to our resolution to lost weight. Eat veggies or fruit with every meal or snack. Fruits and vegetables are power foods that are healthy, filling, and satisfying. So before you leave the house, pack a snack. Ideas for some out of the box portable snacks that will satisfy include PB and apple sandwiches, turkey mango strips, and chocolate dipped fruit kabobs. Eat your meal free from distraction, get rid of the distractions that can cause you to overeat, such as TV and reading. You should also enjoy, focus, and savor your food. Taking sips of water and putting your fork down between every bite allows yourself time to feel satisfied. Stay Active, start getting active with small steps like getting up and walking at least 5 minutes every hour. Having comfortable shoes at the ready will also encourage you to get moving.
