The River Parkway Trust is pleased to present a Respite by the River devoted to book clubs and book lovers. The evening will feature special guests, Dr. Henry D. Delcore, Professor of Anthropology, and Dr. Shane Moreman, Department of Communication, CSU Fresno, to lead a discussion about collecting stories: why is it important to collect stories, what do we gain from the experience? We'll focus on take Me to the River: Fishing, Swimming, and Dreaming on the San Joaquin, a collection of 33 stories about life along the river, edited by Coke Hallowell and Joell Hallowell.

Bring your picnic dinner, your favorite beverage and your lawn chairs for a wonderful evening outdoors. Live music will be provided by Michael Miller.

Complimentary cream puffs will be served at the end of the presentation.

This is a FREE event!
