“Nutcracker” Auditions Open to Valley Dancers in August

The Lively Arts Foundation invites all valley dancers to audition for the Central California Ballet’s 2011 community production of “The Nutcracker” on August 27th at Fresno State in the Music Building (Shaw and Maple). Ballet students, ages 8 to 12, will take to the floor first between 11:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Intermediate/ Advanced students (ladies bring pointe shoes) will audition from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. with call backs to follow. Girls, ages 6 to 8, trying out for Bon-Bon roles from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. should have some ballet/gymnastics experience. Boys (ages 8 to 14 – acting experience is a plus) are encouraged to try out for the Party Scene from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. More information: www.livelyarts.org

Note: Three “NUTCRACKER” performances will be held at the Saroyan Theatre on December 10 & 11, 2011.
