Fresno State student leaders will host a National Night Out block party on Tuesday, August 2 through the newly formed student Neighborhood Watch groups in an attempt to bring together the community surrounding Fresno State.

National Night Out is part of a nationwide initiative to bring communities together on the first Tuesday in August of each year. Fresno State students hope to bring the community together for food, activities and safety information. This will be a family event with many student and community organizations hosting activities for the local youth.

National Night Out 201, for the El Dorado Park community will be held at Wesley United Methodist Church of Fresno at 1343 East Barstow Avenue from 5-9 p.m.
