Mountain Heritage Days Sluice Box Derby will be held Saturday, September 17 at the Fresno Flats Historical Park, Oakhurst. Registration and car inspection is from 9:30 AM to noon at the Our Lady of the Sierrs Catholic Church parking area (located on Indian Springs Road, Oakhurst, Derby time is 1 PM to 3 PM.
Boys and girls, ages 4 to 14 may participate. Entry fee is $2. Entry fee for cars is $10. and includes one driver. Drivers without cars will be assigned a racer for their use. A parent/guardian must be present to register their child/children.
Event is sponsored by Kiwanis, Yosemite Bank, Oakhurst Feed and Pet Supply, Sierra Lions Club, Oakhurst Elks Club, Knights of Columbus, Sierra Historic Society, Willow Bridge Book Store.
