Event Description
Join Bob Tharp and avecinia wellness center for a Free Diabetes Peer Support Group Session from 11 am - 12 pm. Bob has sucessfully lost 100 lbs, brought is HbA1c levels down from over 12 to under 6.5 and is saving over $500 a month because he no longer needs his diabetes medication. Watch Bob's story on KSEE 24. Learn from Bob and from various health care experts how you too can get your diabetes under management and gain control over your life! Learn and do the following with people just like you:
Learn how to read nutrition labes when you go grocery shopping;
Healthy meal ideas;
Fun ways to incorporate exercise in your life;
How to stay positive and motivated;
How to reduce your medications and costs of diabetes care;
And more!
