WHAT: AsianFest is an open air community festival that showcases and celebrates our diverse Asian American culture with a variety of live performances and cultural demonstrations. Visitors can travel to Asia in the Cultural Village or shop the vendor fair along the campus mall. Experience self-defense excitement at the Celebration of Martial Arts or watch students from 6 local High Schools compete in the Mandarin Speech contest. Come hungry to sample delicious Asian cuisine while enjoying four hours of live cultural entertainment on two different stages. Families can participate in cultural crafts in the Children’s area where Origami and other fun activities are taught under the direction of Jumpstart, an early literacy program where volunteers teach children about culture as well as literacy enriched activities.
WHO: AsianFest is coordinated by the Asian American Faculty & Staff of Fresno City College and celebrates Asian diversity and culture in our community.

9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
WHERE: Fresno City College Campus Mall, Free Speech Area, Fountain, Cafeteria, and Gym.
WHY: AsianFest shares Asian culture with our community to promote the importance of multi-cultural representation at Fresno City College. It also enhances the ethnic pride and self-esteem of all the participating Asian American community and college members.
COST: Event and Parking are FREE all day.
