We invite all families, students, teachers and youth to attend the 9th Annual National Parks Family Day event on Saturday, June 23, 2011 at Roeding Park http://storylandplayland.com/ in Fresno. The intent of this event is to educate our community on the value of our National Parks and the assets that they bring to our valley economy. Attendees will learn from park rangers and DNC Parks & Resorts at Yosemite, Inc. Interpretative Services staff about the value of outdoor recreation and conservation.

This year's theme is "Healthy Parks Healthy People US" a National Park Service initiative working to reintegrate human, environmental and ecological health into the mission of public parks and public lands. Additionally, it is a holistic approach to promoting the health and well being of people and the sustainability of the planet.

The event was established to bring National Parks to undeserved youth and educate our community on the value of our National Parks, and the assets that they bring to our valley economy.
