Held on the shady green space in front of the International Agri-Center in Tulare you can relax and enjoy a festive atmosphere highlighted by live music from local bands.
Hosted by the Tulare Library Foundation and the Friends of the Library, a HUGE used book sale is one of the hallmarks of the event. Located in the small “marketplace” of vendor booths, there will be a massive collection of used books from every genre.
There will also be kids activities like face painting, a bounce house, games and of course, great BBQ supplied by Central California Grill and Chilos BBQ. Beer by Brewbakers will be available after 5:00 PM. Participate in the great raffle and you could win an iPad!
Band Line Up
3:30-4:30 Dach & Zerek
Dach and Zerek may have trouble coming up with a band name, but that doesn’t affect their ability to rock. They are a two-piece rock band hailing from Visalia CA whose music is reminiscent of artists spanning from the seventies to the present day. Although they have a distinctive style, their sound has been compared to everything from Nirvana to Metallica. Having played all throughout the valley, from private parties to events like Vintage days, Dach and Zerek are ready for more. Derek and Zach manage to capture elements from the past decades and make them sound modern today.Derek is also a winner of KSEE 24’s top talent competition!
4:30-5:30 Doc’s Holiday
Doc’s Holiday is a quartet formed in the lower populated country towns of California’s Southern Central Valley. We are an often up-tempo acoustic band, sometimes dark sometimes goofy, with roots in country swing bluegrass mixed in with progressions and styles of modern indie and at times labeled as “Americana” or “Californya Blugrass”
5:30-7:30 Carlos Rodriguez Combo
The Carlos Rodriguez Combo are an all-star valley band performing music influenced from Brazil, Colombia and the Afro/Caribbean Islands. And of course, these guys deliver good ol' fashioned rock n' roll. Marisa Rodriguez- played percussion for over ten years with the band Mezcal; Phil Santillan- Pro bassist, currently working with The Parris Bros. Band; Kris Korsgaden- On demand keyboardist, just graduated from San Diego State with B.A. in music; Carlos Rodriguez- Frontman for Mezcal and multi-instrumentalist
