Community leaders, healthcare professionals, and residents will be walking the Central Valley’s “Asthma Trail” to spread awareness and push for action on a disease affecting nearly 1 in 6 children in the region. The walk will start in Fresno on September 27th and end in Sacramento on October 4th, making stops along the way. The walk will stop to host a video storytelling booth to gather firsthand testimonies from area residents about the impact asthma and other chronic conditions have on them and their loved ones. These will be delivered to state officials and legislators to seek support in reducing the incidence of chronic disease in California over the next 10 years.
