Event Description
The trees are lit and the shelter dogs are practicing their caroling (howling) for the annual Kitty Christmas & Merry Mutts Holiday Open House. Guests will be ensconced with holiday cheer, adorable animals and delicious foods all whilst sampling some of the Valley’s best local wines! The animals’ caretakers once again look forward to celebrating the very great generosity of the Valley Animal Center’s many supporters.
Admission to the event is a gift for the animals. Every year, 500 to 800 attendees give a gift to homeless animals of a monetary donation, or a contribution to the shelter of necessary supplies. Needs include a variety of oft overlooked, everyday necessities for the no-kill shelter, such as bleach, laundry detergent, and paper towels. These items are necessary for the shelter to operate year-round and donations from the public help to ensure that all of the animals will continue to be well taken care of.
In addition to feeling good by giving back, guests will be treated to a mouthwatering candy bar, a flowing chocolate fountain, and fancy cheeses and accompaniments to go along with the fantastic local wines that will be present for tasting.
