PORTERVILLE CHILDREN’S CHRISTMAS PARADE

The Annual Children’s Christmas parade will be held in downtown Porterville on Thursday, November 29th at 7:00 p.m. This year’s parade theme is ‘Wonders of the Season’ and 96 entries will be featured. The parade route is Main Street from Morton south to Olive. Three announcer locations are planned; one in front of the Elks Lodge, one at City Hall, and the final in front of the Chamber office.

The local Toys for Tots Committee has a parade entry and will accept new, unwrapped toys as they progress along the route. Non-profit organizations will have various food booths at street intersections along Main Street and they will offer such items as kettle corn, baked goods, teriyaki sticks, tamales, hot dogs, hamburgers, hot chocolate and coffee. Additionally, Main Street restaurants will a variety of take-out items available for parade attendees.

Porterville’s Annual Children’s Christmas parade is sponsored by the Rotary Club of Porterville, the City of Porterville, and the Porterville Chamber of Commerce. For more information, contact the Chamber at 784-7502.
