The California Centers for International Trade Development (CITD), a division of State Center Community College District (SCCCD), is inviting Fresno Food Expo Exhibitors to an exclusive export training workshop led by Foreign Trade Experts from Asia, Canada and Mexico on January 15 from 1 p.m. – 5 p.m. at Baker, Peterson & Franklin, CPA office. The training is designed to help prepare exhibitors for an influx of international buyers at the 2013 Expo and will cover numerous topics including: regional market trends, business opportunities, labeling requirements, trade finance and how to reduce financial risks and expand company’s sales into international markets.

This exclusive training is open to companies currently exporting or interested in exploring the opportunity of exporting in the future. There is no cost to participate; the only requirement is that the company must be an exhibitor at the 2013 Fresno Food Expo. The Fresno Food Expo was designed to create growth opportunities for San Joaquin Valley food producers, and this new expanded focus on the export industry opens the door to even more substantial growth opportunities for them, as well as the entire San Joaquin Valley region.

To sign up as an exhibitor at the 2013 Fresno Food Expo go to http://fresnofoodexpo.com/registration/vendor. Expo exhibitors interested in the Export Training Workshop must RSVP by Thursday, January 10, 2013, by emailing Amy Huerta, Business Initiative Manager, City of Fresno at amy.huerta@fresno.gov
