He has a natural Flamenco musical ability & edge, which raised him above other artists. The Spanish name José was given to him by his parents to further strengthen his ties to natural Flamenco. Tanaka has been performing since childhood.
At the age of 24 Tanaka rediscovered his passion for Flamenco and pursued further study in Seville and Madrid, Spain where he polished his technique studying with the Masters and developed and honed his soniquete (groove) and aire (feel) playing the guitar everyday amongst the gypsies. Tanaka continues to go back to Spain frequently to get inspired.
Mizuho Sato (Dancer):
Was born in Iwate, Japan and started classical ballet at the age of four. As she performed on stage and attained years of experience in winning balletic competitions, she pursued her career as a dancer and took summer school in the Royal Ballet Academy of England. Entering Sophia (Jouchi) University in Tokyo brought her a strong encounter with flamenco, and she decided to shift her career. The following year she was in Seville, Spain, taking classes from prestigious instructors like Manolo Marin, Maria del Mar Verranga, Javier Cruz, and Alicia Marquez. After her studies, she returned to Tokyo and started performing in several well known tablaos. In the year 2000, she received awards from the Japanese Flamenco Association and the Ambassador of Spain.

Vanessa Acosta-Albalos (Dancer) was born in Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico, which is where she grew up the early years of her life. Her mother, Rosa Maria Prats, was the biggest influence in Flamenco as she introduced Vanessa to the art form at an early age and gave her an upbringing rich in traditions of music. It was then that she became familiar, though the limited media available at the time, with many different styles of cante and the very complex and unusual rhythms of flamenco.
Vanessa is viewed as an extraordinary artist and is considered by many of her colleagues and aficionados to be an “exception to the rule” as she has never trained in Spain. With her impeccable compas (timing), flavorful soniquete (swing), flamencura (flamenco beauty), expressive aire (spirit), richly sounding palmas (rhythmic clapping), and her captivating presencia (presence) she has captured and inspired audiences at home and abroad and has become one of the most sought after flamenco dancers in Southern California. Presently, Vanessa performs at the most well-known tablaos (flamenco venues) in Los Angeles, is loved, and well respected as a dancer and instructor in her flamenco community.
