Tour de Fresno

Proceeds from Tour de Fresno will promote charitable and educational endeavors in the valley, as well as promoting cycling as a viable clean-air transportation option for all residents of Fresno County. In 2013 the 5th Annual Tour de Fresno Charity Bike Ride is offering a 6-city tour of Fresno County including Fresno, Sanger, Parlier, Kingsburg, Selma and Fowler, and will celebrate the bounty that Fresno County offers! The ride provides five different route options: Century plus, Wildcat Century, Metric Century, Intermediate County Ride, and Scenic City to city Tour Bike Ride. You will begin your ride from the beautiful grounds at the California Home for the Aged (a.k.a: California Armenian Home) located between Armstrong and Temperance Ave. at 6720 E. Kings Canyon Rd. Fresno CA 93727. The site provides ample, free and secure parking space. The rides will pass through County Cities and neighborhoods, including Sanger, Parlier, Kingsburg, Selma, Fowler and Fresno and enjoy the great hospitality at rest stops in each of those cities. The Bike Ride will provide you with adventurous views of city streets, along with scenic views of breathtaking mountains and waterfront. Challenge yourself with one of the two Century ride options a) climb world famous Wildcat summit with Max Elevation of 2,077.0 ft and 2,943.0 ft gain through the course, or b) at Corral rest stop, ride through the Pittman Hill and Tollhouse Roads and challenge yourself more with additional climbing to 2,274.0 ft Max Elevation and 3,484.0 ft gain and join at the Maxon Rd. rest stop followed by scenic views of Pine Flat Lake. Thanks to the participating Cities in Fresno County, you will enjoy riding through some city streets! Or, you can take the less challenging Metric Century ride covering over 73 miles to Piedra and throughout Fresno County cities. For a Fresno County ride through the farmlands and rural residential neighborhoods, you can take the 48-mile WOW Ride, or take the 18-mile Scenic ride from Fresno to Fowler and through City of Fresno's one of the most historical and scenic neighborhoods. Rest stops and full SAG support will be provided on all of our rides. Gourmet Chicken Kebab lunch grilled at the site with rice pilaf and salad will be served at the end of the ride at the tree shaded Start/Finish Park. We will ride rain or shin. NO REFUNDS. Registration fee includes on-line handling and processing fees, lunch and t-shirt. Any modified route maps will be posted on our website a month before the ride.
