Three factors are affecting recruiting efforts: obesity, criminal records and high school drop-out rates. Those three things have led to a startling statistic-- 75-percent of 17-24-year-olds do not qualify to enlist in the military. It is often seen as a last ditch effort for troubled teens, but that is no longer the case.
