The Fresno Art Museum cordially invites you to an entertainment extravaganza to be held at the Museum on Saturday, April 21, 2012. TRASHIQUE, a whole new look at recycling & fashion. We have all heard the old saying, “One man’s trash is another man’s treasure” you will witness it for yourself at this fun filled event. The evening will feature an amazing fashion show of ensembles created by artists and designers from throughout California. These will not be just any garments however; they are designs out of recycled materials, what most people consider trash, hence, TRASHIQUE, Fresno’s own version of Project Runway!
TRASHIQUE promises to be one of the Central Valley’s best events of 2012. Enjoy food from Fresno’s finest restaurants and caterers, exotic drinks, lively entertainment, music, dancing and of course, ARTmosphere! Linda Cano Executive Director of the Fresno Art Museum says, “TRASHIQUE is such a unique one-of-a-kind experience. It highlights the Museum’s abilities to enlighten, educate and entertain its visitors. We truly are a museum and so much more!”
Proceeds from the TRASHIQUE event benefit the Fresno Art Museum’s education and exhibitions programs. The Fresno Art Museum is an accredited member of the American Association of Museums that features modern and contemporary art serving the Central California region.
