Getting a good night's sleep isn't always an easy thing. From diet to stress, there are a lot of factors that weigh in to how well you sleep and if you are getting enough sleep to stay healthy. On KSEE 24 News at 4, Stefani Booroojian talked to sleep specialist Dr. Karl Van Gundy about factors that can interfere with sleep, and what you can do to improve your sleeping.

When i have trouble sleeping, I take Melatonin. It helps me relax yet it is over the counter medicine. I do not take it every nite just when I am stressed or lay in bed for awhile. If I wake up in the middle of the night and have not had it then i take 1/2 a pill.

I start working nights 11pm to 7 30am now, I am, having trouble sleeping. I go to bed at 9am the await 2 hours later. I get up then go back to bed for another 2to3 hour more.But I need some straight sleep.
