Millions of Americans suffer from varicose veins-- they're painful and unsightly. Years ago, the veins were stripped for relief. Now, doctors can treat problem veins with a radio-frequency catheter.
Fresno Vascular Surgeon Dr. Leo Fong has performed hundreds of the catheter procedures. He says it's relatively painless and patients can resume normal activities the next day.

Not entirely true on the "patients can resume normal activities the next day", everybody is different. Some of us heal quicker than others and the others may have bigger veins where the body will take longer to absorb those veins that have been collapsed. It isn't relatively painless either considering swelling, bruising the days following the procedure. I had my procedure on April 4th, 2009 and it is now June 1st, 2009. I will be calling the doctors office once again on repeated visits.
