Authorities in Livingston are searching for a missing teenager who parents say disappeared after going outside the family home near Dwight Road and Rose Avenue.

Sheriff's deputies say Sarah Wade went outside her family's home on Wednesday morning to turn off water that was running for her horse and never returned.

Family members say the 14 year old had her dog with her when she walked outside and the dog has since returned. The family also says Wade left personal items in her room that she would've taken with her, such as her purse, if she had left on her own.

Police say Wade is homeschooled and rarely leaves the family ranch. Her family says she is unfamiliar with the area and fears something may have happened to the girl.

Wade was last seen wearing a red and plaid sweatshirt with black or blue jeans. She is 5 feet 5inches tall and weighs 120lbs with brown hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Merced County Sheriff s Department at (209) 385-7445 or (209) 386-7472
