A pair of dummies hanging from nooses attached to billboards around Las Vegas on Wednesday appeared to be a protest over unemployment and against Wall Street.

Drivers were shocked to see what looked like a man hanging from a billboard near Interstate 15. The billboard read "dying for work."

Another mannequin was spotted hanging from a billboard near South Highland Avenue. Someone had written above it on the billboard, "Hope you're happy Wall St."

"This is the first time that I can remember someone doing something like that," Officer Bill Cassell of the Las Vegas Police Department told the Daily News.

Lamar Advertising owns the billboard and did not rent the space to anyone.

The Las Vegas Metro police will handle investigation. "We do have some information that we are acting on," said Cassell.
