An officer involved shooting has left one man dead at a home between Hanford and Corcoran.
The Kings County Sheriff's office says the man charged deputies with a golf club.
It happened just before noon in the area of 13th and Kansas.
Deputies responded to a call for a man breaking things in the home, and threatening his brother with a golf club.
Deputies tried to negotiate, then entered the home.
That's when he charged, swinging the golf club.
One deputy was forced to open fire, but the man kept struggling with deputies.
Dave Robinson, Kings County Sheriff: "The deputy fired a couple of rounds at the subject, the subject dropped the gulf club but continued to fight with deputies on scene...Within a couple of minutes they were able to get him down on the ground and subdue him."
The suspect was taken to the hospital where he later died.
His name is not yet being released.
