School officials in Oxnard, California put a junior high teacher on leave this week after students discovered she may have been moonlighting as a porn star, according to local reports.
District officials have not named the teacher, who teaches science to seventh- and eighth-graders at Haydock Intermediate School, the Ventura County Star reported.
The investigation began on Friday when a group of students told school administrators they had seen the teacher in a porn video. Staff members tried to verify the claim online, but were blocked by porn filters on the school's computer, local television station KTLA reported.
Later, a group of teachers using a smart phone found an X-rated clip featuring a porn princess who resembled the teacher and showed it to the administrators, the station said.
The teacher was put on leave on Monday, and Haydock parents received a letter on Tuesday explaining the scandal.
The letter also warned parents that curious students may go hunting for the teacher's steamy vids online.
"We ask that you be particularly vigilant over the next few days with respect to the Internet content being accessed by your child on his or her telephone or other Internet-ready devices," the letter said, according to KTLA.
Even if the allegations are true, it's not clear whether the teacher will be fired, since it's not a crime to appear in porn films.
