A young child was hit by a car and killed Wednesday night in northwest Fresno.
The accident happened just after 10:30 at the intersection of Herndon and Milburn.
Police say the child was hit by a car that was going westbound on Herndon.
The child was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Police say the driver is cooperating with police.
The intersection was shut down for several hours while police investigated the cause of the crash.
