Miramonte Elementary School is under a facility alert at this hour as the Fresno County Sheriff's SWAT team is on the scene of a man barricaded in a home near the school.
A sheriff's department spokesman says the man is being served an eviction notice and refuses to come out of the home.
Students at Miramonte are being escorted to the cafeteria for lunch and kindergarten and preschool are continuing as normally scheduled.
