Those of us who fondly recall kindly father figure Mr. Drummond on "Diff'rent Strokes" will be saddened to hear that the actor who played him, Conrad Bain, died Monday night in a retirement home in California.
Bain, who would have celebrated his 90th birthday on Feb. 4, outlived two of the three actors who played his kids on the '80s sitcom (only Todd Bridges, who played Willis, is alive).
The actor was lovingly remembered by his real-life daughter, Jennifer, who told TMZ her dad was an "an amazing person. He was a lot like Mr. Drummond, but much more interesting in real life. He was an amazing father."
