Less than a year after a South Carolina family lost their infant son in a horrific dog attack, their older child has been bitten by another family pet.
Department of Social Services told the sheriff's department that the three year old child had suffered a puncture wound to the cheek and beside his nose after being bitten by a dog at the Ladson home of Quintin and Chantel McGrew.
Last April, the couple lost their two-month-old son when he was mauled and dismembered by a family dog while his father slept.
Quintin McGrew is awaiting trial on a charge of illegal conduct toward a child.
Chantel McGrew told The Post and Courier of Charleston she did not want to talk about the matter but did say her child lived after this attack.
Sheriff’s spokesman Dan Moon confirmed to the newspaper that his agency is investigating the mauling report dated January 3.
