A fire at a duplex near downtown Fresno sent one person to the hospital and displaced several others.
It happened this afternoon near Van Ness and Divisadero.
The fire started in an apartment on the bottom floor.
A man who lives there ran out and reported it before going back inside.
Firefighters later found him unconscious, suffering from smoke inhalation.
He was taken to the hospital, where he's in stable condition.
The fire destroyed 3 apartments and displaced several people, including a single mom and her kids.
That woman's uncle, Jarardo Dovles, spoke with us as the duplex continued to burn.
"It was bad, terrible...My niece they were all in shock, they're still in shock...Crying...They lost everything."
The American Red Cross was on site to help.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
