(KSL) Video from a Utah police dash-cam was released Wednesday and shows the conclusion of an unusual chase on I-80.

Earlier this month, a trooper spotted a stolen SUV and tried to stop it. Drivers on I-80 had called 9-1-1 to report a vehicle that was swerving all over the road. Troopers caught up to the SUV, and a chase ensued.

The video reveals the 9-1-1 dispatcher identifying the driver as a 14-year-old male, who had taken his parents' SUV without permission. A trooper can be heard saying the car was going 110 mph.

Cpl. Todd Johnson of the Utah Highway Patrol said that's about the time the trooper did the right thing and called off the chase.

"Just because of the hazard," Johnson said. "I mean, we've got a 14-year-old, probably had no driving or training with his driving. You can see the vehicle's wobbling back and forth."
