A valley man has been arrested after leading sheriff's deputies on a high speed pursuit across two counties on Monday.

The Fresno County Sheriff's Office says 20 year old James Henry White, Jr led deputies on a pursuit through Fresno and Kings Counties Monday afternoon after he stole a pickup truck and fuel trailer.

Deputies say when they located White in the stolen vehicle, he refused to stop and a pursuit at speeds of over 80 miles per hour ensued.

Eventually Kings County deputies joined the chase as the pursuit entered their jurisdiction and then back again in Fresno County. White was eventually arrested without incident when the truck started having mechanical problems and he had to pull over near the intersection of Hayes & Harlan.

During the investigation, deputies located the stolen fuel trailer hidden behind a large eucalyptus tree in the 20500 block of S Garfield. Another stolen tractor was also located at the original location where the truck & trailer had been taken from.

White was later booked into the Fresno County Jail and charged with four counts of vehicle theft, four counts of possession of stolen property, and felony evading.
