(Press Release) The Fresno County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a 55-year-old Fresno man in the mountains of eastern Fresno County.

The Sheriff’s Office received the missing persons call Monday, shortly after 12:00 noon.

David Allen Bowers apparently went on a day trip Sunday in the area of Pine Flat Lake, and was to return home before dark. He failed to make it home, and then did not show up for work Monday morning.

Bowers was driving his silver colored, 1999 Chevy pick-up, and was carrying a red colored Suzuki ATV in the bed of the truck.

Late Monday afternoon Bowers’ pick-up truck was located east of Pine Flat Lake near Trimmer Springs & Big Creek Road. The ATV was missing from the truck.

Several deputies have been involved in the operation and were being assisted by Eagle One, the U.S. Forest Service, and SAR personnel.

Bowers is described as a white male, 5' 10" tall with an average build. He has brown hair and brown eyes, and several tattoos on both of his arms. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, and an unknown color T-shirt and sweater.

Anyone with information on Bowers whereabouts is asked to contact the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office at 488-3111.
