Family Dog Thwarts Robbers Attempting to Kidnap Infant

Armed robbers in Indianapolis who broke into a family home and attempted to steal a three-month old baby were thwarted by the pet dog.

New mother Nayeli Garzon-Jimenez was with her young daughter when a pair of robbers broke into the house in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

After demanding money one of the thieves grabbed the baby and tried to flee through the back door as the second thief hit Garzon-Jimenez over the head with the butt of a pistol.

But the criminals were halted in their tracks by one of the family's two dogs who forced the couple to go back into the house and as the pair rushed towards the front door they 'threw' the baby back to a relieved mother.
